Bio: back in 2002 he was arguable the best setup man in all of baseball, posting an 1.89 ERA in 81 innings pitched for the Twins. He declined the following season, and then picked it back up a little bit the season after that. After another solid season in 2005, he struggled in 2006 for the Angels. The Sox sign him with hopes that he can return to his 2002 form, or if not that, at least return to his 2004-2005 form. He'll be on the club at the start of the season and will probably work the sixth inning I would guess. He'll face less big time lefties than Hideki Okajima, and will be behind Papelbon, Timlin, Donnelly, and Okajima on the bullpen depth chart.

Projected 2007 Statistics: 4.50, 55, 10, 40

Fantasy Outlook: at the moment he has none, but keep your eye out for him. If he can return to that 2002 form, then you want him on your team. If the Sox get that out of him, he'll be pitching the eighth inning, but at this time, he's our fifth reliever.
